Cassius James "Cash" Garcia

Cassius James “Cash” Garcia, age 2, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on November 17, 2020, in Macon, GA, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2023, in Osage Beach, MO.

Cash loved climbing, busses, bubbles, and learning. He was very adventurous and scared of nothing. His favorite game was chase and he liked to be tickled. Cash struggled to speak, but not to communicate. He knew the ABC’s, how to count to 10, and most of his colors.  Cash had beautiful curly golden hair. He was silly and ornery. Cash was loved and cherished by all who knew him. He loved his family deeply and his sister was his best friend. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, in infancy, Nathaniel Eli Garcia; and his grandmother, Teresa Cavin.

Cash is survived by his parents, Alexis, nee Cavin and Chris Garcia; his sister, Emsley Gwendolyn Garcia; his brother, Onyx Micah Garcia; his paternal grandparents, Daisy and Simon Alviar III, and Ernesto and Samantha Garcia; his maternal grandparents, Randall and Gyla Gavin; and his great grandparents, Robert and Estella Munoz, and Fermine and Angie Canales.  He is also survived by many other loving family members.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.  Interment will be held in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
