Carole J. Cronin

Carole J. Cronin, nee Hurst, age 89, of Okeene, OK, born on January 30, 1931 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Summer Health Service, Okeene, OK.

Carole graduated from East St. Louis Senior High School in 1949. She was an office bookkeeper with State National Insurance Company in St. Louis, MO and worked at Marine Garment Company before retiring in 1985.  Carole was a former member of Landsdowne Baptist Church where she also taught kindergarten classes.  She was currently a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, IL.  Carole enjoyed bowling league and then bingo in her later years. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R. Cronin; her parents, Louis and Goldie, nee Meredith Hurst; her stepdaughter, Mary Thomas and by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Carole is survived by a son, Scott (Lou) Cronin of Okeene, OK; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carole’s name to the donor’s choice.

Private graveside services will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
