Carmen Arriola

Carmen Arriola, age 91, of Fairmont City, IL, born on April 22, 1934, in Venice, IL, died on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Aspen Creek Memory Care in Troy, IL.

Carmen began working at International Shoe Company in St. Louis and later became a clerk at Sears in Fairview Heights, IL, retiring after 45 years. Carmen was a proud member of AMVETS #204 Auxiliary in Madison, IL.

The family of Carmen would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Aspen Creek Memory Care of Troy, for their love and professional care they provided.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Arriola; parents, Seferino and Marcelina, nee Gomez, Garcia; and her siblings, Lucy Martes, Lenora Grieve, Josie Westerman, Mike Garcia and Joe Garcia.

Carmen is survived her son, Charles J. Arriola; niece, Judy Cagle; and many other loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10 , 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Harold Fisher, O.M.I. and Fr. James Buerster officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
