Carlos R. Barron

Carlos R. Barron, age 90, of Belleville, IL, born on November 8, 1932, in Fairmont City, IL, died on Monday, September 4, 2023, at his residence.

Carlos worked for Cupples Rubber Company in St. Louis, MO for over 30 years.  He then worked part-time doing ground maintenance for Cecil Management for 25 years.  Carlos was a member of the Lion’s Club in Belleville, IL., and enjoyed helping Joe Hubbard at St. Vincent DePaul serving food to the homeless.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramona and Joseph Barron, Sr.; his sister, Mary Elzira Pfeifle; his brothers, Joseph Antelmo Barron, Jr., and Hector Joseph Barron; and his stepson, David Mullen.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Shirley Barron, nee Cummins; his sisters, Marie D. Johnson and Mary Diane Barron; his stepson, James (Sherry) Mullen; his step grandson, Michael Mullen; and his ex-daughters in law, Debra Mullen and Shauna Mullen.

Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul.   

Per the wishes of Carlos, no services will be held.
