Burnie “Vinton” Kleier, age 84, of Caseyville, IL, born on April 15, 1938, in Marshfield, MO, died on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.
Vinton retired after 44 years as a machinist for Boeing Aircraft, in St. Louis, MO. He loved spending time with his family, and never missed any of his grandkids sporting events. Vinton never met a stranger, and if you were dining out with him, he would always pick up the tab. Most importantly, Vinton said on his last day, Jesus died for me, forgave me for my sins and I am ready to go home. He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his son, Edward E. Kleier, his daughter, Amy Kleier; his grandson, Vinton Williams; his parents, John Burnie and Ida Lou, nee Potter Kleier; and three brothers.
Vinton is survived by his wife, Eva A. Kleier, nee Ring; his daughters, Nancy (Nolan) Davis of Blackwell, OK, Sherry Kleier of Caseyville, IL, and Sheila Reid, of Collinsville, IL; his grandchildren, Lauren Reid, Steven (Danielle) Reid, and Michael (Kelly) Williams; his great grandchildren, BreAnna Williams, Dominic Williams, and Brycin Reid.
There will not be any local services. Private family services will be at Fordland Cemetery, Fordland, MO at a later date.
