Betty Lou Skaggs

Betty Lou Skaggs, age 91, of O’Fallon, IL, born on February 17, 1933, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at her home.

Betty was a bus driver for many years and held various odds and ends jobs to keep her busy.  She was a big reader of mystery books, enjoyed crafts and liked watching HGTV. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Dwain Lee Buskirk; her parents, Margarete McGuigan and John Henderson; and her sister, Norma Jean Schaefer.

Betty is survived by her husband, Roy Skaggs; her children, Debby (Gary) Seneczyn; Patricia Briggs, and Brad (Andrea) Buskirk; her grandchildren, Danny Briggs, Nathaniel Seneczyn, Matthew Briggs, Crystal (Shaheen) Shabrou, Adam (Megan) Buskirk, Aaron (Kayla) Buskirk and Kelsey (Jacob) Burns; her great-grandchildren, Landon Briggs, Brooke Briggs, Josie Buskirk, Hattie Burns, Ellis Burns, Finley Burns, Harrison Shabrou, Ellowynne Shabrou, Kelin Buskirk, Jensen Buskirk, Autym Timmermann, James Timmermann, and Olivia Lloyd.

Betty’s wishes were to be cremated with no services held.
