Betty Jean Kraut, 87, of Belleville, IL, born on May 22, 1936 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023.
Betty worked for the St. Clair County Tax Assessors office in Belleville, IL for 36 years. She enjoyed attending St. Augustine of Canterbury. Betty was a cat lover, enjoyed watching wrestling, and a horror movie enthusiast, and enjoyed roller derby. Most importantly, Betty loved spending her time and being very involved with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and LaVon (Hope) Polcyn; son, Johnny Kraut; and two sisters, Shirley Frawley and Linda Lindsey.
Betty is survived by her children, Cheryl (Brian) Stueckel, John Nadler, Mike Kraut, and Scott (Dana) Kraut; grandchildren, Amanda (Matt) Stein, Derek (Laura Kraft) Stueckel, and John Nadler II; great grandchildren, Holden Stueckel and Nora Stein; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL. Interment will be held in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL
