Bernie Gildehaus, Jr.

Bernie J. Gildehaus, Jr., age 70, of Albers, IL formerly of Fairview Heights, IL, born on December, 29, 1954, died on December 11, 2025, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Bernie was a loving husband and father and always made sure his family was well taken care of. He enjoyed working and repairing his family and friends’ cars in his spare time.

Bernie is preceded in death by his wife, Mary nee West, Gildehaus; his daughters, Patricia Gildehaus and Angela Gildehaus; his parents, Bernard and Georgia, nee Nelson Gildehaus Sr; his brother, John Gildehaus; and his niece, Bridget Dulaney.

He is survived by his children, Joseph Gildehaus and Kathy (Jason) Quade; granddaughter, Skyla Quade; his siblings, Debbie (Vernon) Dulaney, Randy (Gayla) Gildehaus, Sandy (Jim) Gildehaus, Ronnie (Debbie) Gildehaus, and Pam (Bo) Chessor.  Bernie is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorials can be made to the family.
