Bernice Gallaher

Bernice M. Gallaher, nee Hofmann, age 95, of Collinsville, IL, born on August 31, 1930, in Albany, MN, died on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Bernice married her beloved “Chuck” on October 10, 1949, and they were married for 75 years.  She loved baking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” E. Gallaher; her daughter, Georgia; her parents, Gregor D. and Rose, nee Voss Hofmann; her siblings, Renee, Gladys, Patsy, David and a brother in infancy.

She is survived by her children, Sharon of St. Louis, MO, Carolyn (Tim) of Collinsville, IL, Pati (Bruce) of Collinsville, IL, and Linda (Doug); 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church in the form of Masses, Caseyville, IL.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd.  Inurnment  will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
