Bernice W. Benton

Bernice W. Benton, nee Becherer, age 104, of O’Fallon, IL, born on April 17, 1916 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on January 11, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband William A. Benton; her son, William R. Benton; her parents, Frank and Anna Marie Becherer; and her siblings, Frances, Marcella, & Genevieve.

Bernice is survived by her daughter-in-law, Eleanor Benton, nee Brasell; her two grandchildren, Matthew Benton and Lora O’Keeffe (Brian); her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Aaron, and Ian O’Keeffe; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Bernice, full of strength and grace, was an inspiration to all who knew her.  “Bee” was kind-hearted and her bright spirit will be dearly missed.

Private funeral will be held at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
