Barbara A. Morse

Barbara Ann Morse, of Troy, Illinois, passed away on November 15, 2025, in Belleville, Illinois. Born on February 6, 1948, in East St. Louis, Illinois, Barbara lived a life marked by love, faith, and creativity.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, Barbara cherished her family above all else. She found joy in writing poems, singing, and spending time with those she loved. Her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Barbara was a faithful and dedicated member of the Catholic Church, where her devotion and compassion were evident in all she did.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.                                        

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas “Tommy” Morse; her parents, Christopher and Helen, nee Simon Haas; her brother William (Donna) Haas; her nephew, Jeffery Haas and her cousin, Judith (James) Ganey.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Randolph Morse; her son, Nicholas (Aimee) Morse; her granddaughters, Gwenevere Morse and Alexandria Morse; and her siblings, Diane (J.C.) Wilson and Chris Ann (Brian) Arcynski. Barbara is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials and masses are preferred to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Visitation will also be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Belleville, IL.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.  at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Matt Elie officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
