Barbara A. McNatt

Barbara A. McNatt, nee Twardoski, age 83, of Fairmont City, IL, born on December 22, 1941, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Barbara married the love of her life, Lee “Buddy” McNatt on January 12, 1962. Barbara spent her time as a housewife and mother, and later co-owned East Side Roofing.  She was a terrific mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Barbara loved Elvis and her furry friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee “Buddy” McNatt; her sons, Danny McNatt and Paul “Moochie” McNatt; her daughter-in-law, Patti McNatt; her nieces, Debbie Henson and Sheryl Howland; her parents, Joseph and Pauline, nee Majkut Twardoski; and her siblings, Joseph "Sonny" Twardoski, Denny Williams, Larry Burgett, Judy (Joe) Willyerd, Bobby (Janice) Twardoski, Jimmy Twardoski, Ricky Twardoski, Paul Twardoski.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Gary) Suarez; her grandchildren, Donna, Josh, Kelly, Jake, Melissa, Logan, and Peggy McNatt, Bonnie McNatt, Heather Suarez and Bryan Suarez; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Aiden and Katelyn Baker, Jordyn Duba, Kinsley Cobine, Matteo  Torres, Rhea Norrard, Lyla and Hayden McNatt, and Carter Dodson; her sisters, Irene Henson, and Dorothy Frawley; her in-laws, Dorothy McNatt, Gary McNatt, Judy (Dave) Robertson, Pat Gray, Susy Speichinger, Kim & Chris, Della Lambskin, Loretta Burgett and Danny (Mary) Burgett; and her special nephew, Paul John Twardoski, special niece, Amy Twardoski.  Barbara is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Vitas Hospice, especially nurse Sarah.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.

Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.  Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
