Arlan W. Francis

Arlan W. Francis, age 76, of Collinsville, Il, born on October 1, 1947 in Jena, Louisiana, died on  March 21, 2024 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Arlan  worked for 37 years as a systems Analyst in accounts payable at Ameren Electric Missouri. He loved Bass fishing  all over the United States. Arlan was involved with several Bass clubs in the area and was president of Side Trax Bass Club.  He was a former Cub Scout leader and Den leader.  He loved hunting birds and woodworking. He built his own home and was an amazing carpenter. He married Mary Ellen on October 8, 1966. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage, listening to music and traveling around the country together.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen, nee Pense, Francis; his two brothers, Robert Gerald Francis, and Garlan Dale Francis;  his parents, Woodrow and Velma, nee Francis, Francis.

Arlan  is survived by his daughter, Angela Francis of Collinsville, IL; his son, David Francis of Collinsville, IL; his brother, Kenneth (Joan) Francis of Wappapello, MO; his sister, Kathy (Gary) Pettit of Columbia, Il. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.  

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL. with Rev. Larry Ridenour  Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
