Anna Serverian

Anna Serverian, nee Sitek, age 97, of Belleville, IL, born on April 27, 1927, in Washington Park, IL, died on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

Anna worked as a Claims Specialist for Edison Brothers Shoe Company, St. Louis, MO for 30 years.  She was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, and a member of the Polish American Ladies Society (PALS).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Neshan “Joe” Serverian; her grandson, Dustin Wilmeth; her parents, Andrew and Catherine, nee Sitek Dudek; her siblings, Julie, Frances, Steven, Mary, Virginia, and Sophie; and her dear friend, Dorothy Modglin.

Anna is survived by her children, Kathleen Serverian-Wilmeth of Antigua, Guate and Paul Serverian of Belleville, IL; her grandchildren, Ryce Wilmeth, Holly Wilmeth-Yaeger and Matthew Wilmeth; and 3 great-grandchildren, Luka Jack Yaeger, Emma Wilmeth and Sara Wilmeth; and her sister, Helen Sitek of St. Charles, MO.

Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, Belleville, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, Belleville, IL.  Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
