Ann Luja

Ann Luja, nee Teikertaite, age 94, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on September 14, 1924 in Taurage, Lithuania, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at her residence.

Ann was the co-owner/operator with her late husband, John, of Luja Nursery in Fairview Heights, IL, for 58 years. She loved to sing in the Lithuanian church choir and also solo in her younger years. She also liked to do needlepoint, read books and enjoyed bowling with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Luja; her son, Edmundas Luja; her granddaughter, Sarah Luja Cummins; her parents, Andrias and Mary, nee Klymantaite Teikertas; and her son-in-law, Donnen Luja.

Ann is survived by her children, Vitas (Laura) Luja of Fairview Heights, IL, Donna (David) Luja King of Indianapolis, IN and Loretta Luja of Tuscon, AR; 12 grandchildren; and 12 Great-Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd. Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
