Andrew J. Boron, age 71, of Belleville, Il, born on March 27, 1954, in E. St. Louis, IL, died on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Andy grew up in Washington Park, IL. He graduated from Assumption High School in 1972, where he was co-captain of the football team. He was also a 1976 graduate from ITT Technical Institute. Andy retired as the Vice-President of Engineering and advisor to the CEO from PFI Instore (formerly Paul Flum Ideas) in March 2024 after 50 years and was currently working for them as a consultant.
He was passionate about Notre Dame football and cooking, especially grilling on his Big Green Egg. He appreciated a good meal followed by his favorite after dinner drink, a Black Russian. In recent years he and Peggy enjoyed traveling together to see the Cardinals play in other MLB ball parks. In addition to seeing the games they explored the cities and surrounding areas. Most of all he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
Andy was the best husband, father, and grandfather we could ask for. We were so lucky to have him in our lives and will love and miss him always.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew John Boron and Jeanette Boron Alford (nee Walters) and her second husband Hosea Alford; his brother, David Boron; his mother and father-in-law, John and Audrey Wenkel; and his brother-in-law, Donald Freed.
