Aline Black

Aline Black, nee Cobb, age 95, of Caseyville, IL, born on July 15, 1929 in New Madrid, MO, died on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Highland Healthcare Center, Highland, IL.

Aline worked for many years as a clerk at Wurth Dairy in East St. Louis and Caseyville, IL. She was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene in Fairview Heights. Aline was devoted to her family.

Aline was preceded in death by her husband, Hoy Arlin Black; her son and daughter, Bill E. Black and Marty Daenzer; her parents, Evan and Willie, nee McKinney, Faye; and her brother, Marcus Evan Cobb.

She is survived by her children, Jerry Black of Bridgeton, MO, and Deanna (Joseph) Beil, of Caseyville/St. Jacob, IL; her grandchildren, Steve Taff of East St. Louis, IL, Melissa Bradley of Chatham, IL, Will (Vicki) Black of O’Fallon, IL, Brandy Black of Godfrey, IL, Ginger Chico of Godfrey, IL, and Chad (Crystal) Albers of Caseyville, IL; ten great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruth Brandenburg of Fredericktown, MD, Opal Thompson of St. Charles, MO, and Wilma Borchardt of St. Charles, MO.

Memorial donations are preferred to Hospice of Southern Illinois. The family wishes to thank the hospice nurse, Jane, for her loving care of Aline in her last days.   

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL, with Pastor Jay Shoff officiating. Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
