Albert Lee Roy Boucher

Albert Lee Roy Boucher, age 86, of Caseyville, IL, born on July 14, 1937, in Oraville, IL, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Al lived a life of selfless service to others. He served for 20 years in the United States Air Force, including 3 tours in Vietnam. He received many awards and decorations, including the Bronze Star Medal. Albert earned his nursing degree and was a caregiver and lifesaver for over 36 years with various hospitals throughout the country. He served with the medical staff of the Coors Light World Class Professional Kick Boxing Team for over 25 years. His most recent passion was serving as a disaster relief volunteer with the American Red Cross, and in his 15 years with them, he deployed to countless natural disasters to help those who needed him most.  Albert was an avid Cardinal baseball and Blues hockey fan, but most of all, he was a loving dad, papa, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda J. Boucher, nee Legendre; his parents, Fred and Earline, nee Bastien Boucher; and his brother, Dan Boucher.

Albert is survived by his children, Robert (Julie) Boucher of Caseyville, IL, and Dawn (Steve) Reay of Caseyville, IL; his grandchildren, Casey (Lizzie) Stosberg, Brittany (Chris) Stier, Stevie Reay, Kelsey (Christian) Renick, Cory Boucher, and Emalie Reay; his great-grandchildren, Charlie Reay and Jameson Renick; and his brother, Jim Boucher of Belleville, IL.

Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross in his name.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.  

Albert was a member of Gothic Lodge #852 A.F. & A.M.  A Masonic Service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. 

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.  Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, with full honors.
