Alan Koehler

Alan Paul Koehler, age 69, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on February 23, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

Alan worked for Tums in downtown St. Louis for 36 years. He enjoyed working on cars, even building his own in his younger years, watching NASCAR and any other type of racing, and watching old westerns on TV. Alan had a very sarcastic sense of humor, but always in a good way. He had a good heart and fought a hard battle until the end. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and loved all the family pets throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Paul Koehler and Catherine Laverne Koehler, nee Daily.

Alan is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Koehler, Nee Doedli; daughter, Dawn Marie (Steve) Dillon; son Jeffery Alan (Michelle) Koehler; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.   

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., with Father William McGhee officiating.
