Agnes Mary Forys

Agnes M. Forys, nee Swierczek, age 97, of the Colonnades, O’Fallon, IL, formerly of Belleville, IL, born on October 29, 1924, in East St. Louis, IL, died on June 10, 2022, at Memorial Hospital East, Shiloh, IL.

Agnes worked as a clerk at Circle Packing in East St. Louis, IL. She belonged to Cathedral of St. Peter Catholic Church. Agnes was a member of P.A.L.S.-Polish American Ladies Society and PRCU- Polish Roman Catholic Union. She liked to dance the polka, watching Molly B, playing cards, traveling to Europe and her casino trips.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony Przada; her parents, Frank and Jennie, nee Wysocki, Swierczek; her brother, Joseph Swierczek; her sister, Josephine Madej; her son-in-law, John Sintzel; and her grandchildren, Brian and Kevin Przada.

Agnes is survived by her husband, Ralph R. Forys; her son, Richard (Gail) Przada; her daughter, Rosemarie Sintzel; her grandchildren, Christine (Dr. Daniel) Mattson, John Sintzel, Matthew Sintzel, Adam Sintzel, Michael (Fiancee, Dr. Erin Smallmon) Sintzel, and Sharon (Dan) Serafini; her great grandchildren, Katherine and Daniel Mattson, Brooke and Charlotte Sintzel, and Lauren and Logan Serafini. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials masses may be made to the Cathedral of St. Peter, Belleville, IL.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Cathedral of St. Peter, Belleville, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Cathedral of St. Peter, Belleville, IL with Fr. Stan Konieczny officiating.  Burial will be held in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
