William G. Eck, Sr

William G. Eck, Sr, age 76 of New Baden, IL, died on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

William served in the United States Army. He worked at St. Louis Bridge Company and was a member of the Carpenters Local #169. William attended the 1st Baptist Church in New Baden, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony G. and Madeline G., nee Poole, Eck; and his brothers, Charles Eck and Ricky Eck.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Eck, nee Menard; his children, Charles W. Moore of Florida, Kimberly S. (Ike) Bear of Arnold, MO, William G. (Sharon) Eck, Jr of Caseyville, IL, Jo A. (Tom) Reed of Granite City, IL, Kathleen L. (David) Sorensen of New Baden, IL and Carolyn S. Eck of New Baden, IL; his grandchildren, William G. Eck, III, James J. Eck, Sr, Kelsey M. Eck, Steven J. Twigg and George A. Kisor, Jr; his great grandchildren, Leila, James Jr, and Colton; and his brothers and sister, Henry (Rose) Eck of Truman Lake, MO, Daniel (Debbie) Eck, Sr, Everett Dedmon of Buchanan, TN, Wayne (Tammy) Dedmon of Big Sandy, TN and Carolyn Dedmon (Tim Bradshaw) of Murray, KY.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of William Eck, Sr.

Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, IL. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
