Mildred Edna Reed, nee Handlang, age 89, of Caseyville, IL born on November 1, 1929 in St. Louis, MO died on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Caseyville Nursing and Rehab Center, Caseyville, IL.

Mildred was a seamstress who worked for fifteen years for Famous & Barr Company in St. Louis, MO.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy James Reed; her son, Ernest Reed; her parents, Lawrence and Hazel, nee Koch, Handlang; and a step-granddaughter, Lisa White.

Jennifer is survived by her grandchildren, Jason Reed of Dardenne Prairie, MO, Jen Allen of Tampa, FL, and Leah Reed of Waterloo, IL; her step grandchildren, Chandra Carlson of Tampa, FL, and Doug Brewer of Belleville, IL; her sister, Lois Doran of Meta, MO; her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Reed of Caseyville, IL; and 6 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Private graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
