Lois A. Bollman, nee Lundy, age 74, of Collinsville, IL, formerly of Belleville, IL, born on April 3, 1943 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.
Lois was a receptionist for Dr. John Carroll OB/GYN in East St. Louis, the offices at Assumption Catholic High School and Call for Help and lastly, Administrative Assistant at Althoff Catholic High School from 1992 to 2005. She enjoyed finding a bargain, watching daytime soap operas, getting a back rub and checking up on family and friends. And for those lucky enough to be a recipient of her annual rendition of Happy Birthday, she made the day even more special for each of us. Lois was often recognized at many areas she visited, never knowing a stranger and was blessed with the gift of gab.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald M. Bollman; her parents, Michael and Lois, nee Jennings, Lundy; and her sister, Joan Durdel.
Lois is survived by her children, Mary Dell-Zacheis (Dawn Zacheis) of Maryville, IL, Victoria Bollman of Farmington, MO, and Bryan P. Bollman of Collinsville, IL; her grandsons, Nathaniel Dell, Aaron Dell, and Noah Dell (Francesca Stockton); her siblings, Catherine Rowe of Belleville, IL and Michael J. (Karen) Lundy of Belleville; her sisters-in-law, Jeanette Hartwig of Collinsville, IL and Jo Ellen Bollman of Highland, IL; her aunt by marriage, Dorothy Akins; and her lifelong friend, Carolyn Shaefer. Lois is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Memorials may be made to the “Katie Lundy” fund or to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.
Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL with Fr. George Mauch officiating.
