Lloyd Lambert

Lloyd “Jake” Lambert, 91, of Meridian, Idaho, formerly of Belleville, IL, died on December 28, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Meridian, ID.

Jake was born on November 2, 1927 in East St. Louis, IL to John and Nora, nee, Kolwyck Lambert and lived in the Belleville, IL area for eighty-nine years. He retired after 30 years, from Carl’s Grill, where he managed five stores in the St. Louis area. He was a devout Catholic Eucharistic Minister and longtime parishioner at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Uncle Jake is survived by his nieces, Shirley Jean Hopper, Lawton, OK and Joy Lee Freeland, Fairview Heights, IL; and his nephews, James Lambert, Meridian, ID and William Lambert, Collinsville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters and lifetime friend, of 60 years, John H. Rosenkranz Jr. of Belleville, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.

Graveside services only will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL with Fr. Bill McGee officiating.
