John "Larry" Palmeri

John L. “Larry” Palmeri, age 81, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on November 28, 1936 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at his residence. 

Larry was a graduate of Assumption High School and a board member of the O’Fallon YMCA, and member of Fairview Heights Rotary Club. He worked for 42 years at Conrail Railroad working with insurance claims and was the co-owner of Pat Palmeri Tax Services and Accounting in Fairview Heights, IL. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Palmeri, nee Bradley; his parents, John J. and Helen D. Palmeri, nee Bates; and his sister, Mary Anna Malone. 

Larry is survived by his daughter, Angela Palmeri of Fairview Heights, IL; his granddaughter, Samantha Paige of Fairview Heights, IL; his surrogate children, Laura Vendable of Chicago, IL and Raymond Bradley of Sunset Hills, MO; his siblings, Torre Palmeri of Red Lion, PA and Toni Palmeri of CA; and many nieces and nephews. 

Memorials may be made to the Belleville Humane Society.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL. 

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
