Dear Carol Ellen,
Words cannot express how saddened I am learning of John's passing. I traveled to St. Louis on October for a high school reunion .... so very sorry I did not have an opportunity to hold you close. Mother loved John so much .... I know this holiday will be a bittersweet one for all of you.

I had the pleasure of working with John a few times over the years. I always enjoyed talking to him. He was really a great person. He will be missed. So sorry for your loss.
