I don’t remember a day growing up when Mr. and Mrs. Murphy (yes, it is respect - Mr and Mrs Murphy, always) weren’t a part of my life. I remember countless sleep-overs with Mona (I can still remember her beautiful room, the furniture, the beautiful dolls!) and then as we got older, the parties at the house in Powder Mill, after “the addition.” Of course, we only stopped by long enough to say hello because we had to “go out and drive around!” The parties of course were for the grown ups - all the wonderful friends Mr and Mrs Murphy had. But I will always remember that Mr. Murphy ALWAYS made a point of saying hello and making sure I remembered he did know who I was! I will never forget his big, kind smile and his loving way.....I am relieved to know he is finally at rest, at peace, and back beside “Mrs. Mona” where he belongs. God Bless you, Mr. Murphy.
