My favorite Uncle Jim! I will always remember our summers at Gillespie Lake. All of the fishing, boating, hanging out on the dock, fish fries, and 4th of July celebrations. So many great memories! I am grateful and thankful that these last few years have allowed me to spend some time with him. He has been united with the love of his life. I will forever miss his kidding around, his laugh, and that great big smile. Due to the weather in the midwest, I couldn't get back to him today. This morning we were blessed to see a snowy, winter storm here in the desert. I feel like Uncle Jim has decided to share a little piece of Illinois with me today. His great-great nieces and nephew will miss him dearly too! I have so many special photos that I will treasure forever. Love and prayers go out to all of my family during this time. God is with us. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Matt. 5:4

So sorry to hear this. Jim was always one of my favorite cousins. He could always make me laugh. He was a joy to spend time with. Wish we could be at the service, but we are in Florida now.

I was so sorry to read of Mr. Hiatt’s passing. My sympathy to Gary, his brother and Lynn. Mr. Hiatt was always so sweet and personable whenever I spoke to him at Methodist Village. He had a wonderful, long life and you should celebrate rather than mourn his passing. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
