David C. Bennett

David Christopher Bennett, age 29, of Belleville, IL born on November 30, 1988, died on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Memorial Hospital.

David was a 2007 graduate of Althoff High School and attended the University of Illinois – Champaign Urbana.  He was currently employed by FedEx as a shift supervisor in Edwardsville, IL.  David was a kind, caring soul.  He was always first to help family and friends.  Family was the cornerstone of his life.  David enjoyed hanging with his family; listening and singing music.  He bled orange and blue with his Illini.  David rose and fell with his Tottenham Hotspur F.C.  David fought the good fight. One step at a time son. COYS!

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Stanley J. Lawanas; paternal grandparents, James B. and Nora K., nee Chochorowski, Bennett; 2 aunts, Loretta J. Bennett and Madonna A. Bennett; and 1 uncle, Michael Cody.

Survived to cherish his memory, are his parents, Stan and Chris, nee Lawanas, Bennett; his sister, Julia Bennett; his maternal grandmother, Jenny Lawanas; his love Meagan Kuehnel and her daughter, Ava “My Girls”.  He is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stan and Chris Bennett for “My Girls” .

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.

Visitation will also be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.   Cremation will follow after services.
