Beatrice A. (Norsigian) Leap

Beatrice A. Leap, nee Norsigian, age 80, of Fairview Heights, IL born on April 27, 1938 in East St. Louis, IL died on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Leap worked at Monsanto in Sauget, IL for 38 years within the human resources department.  She was a member of Holy Virgin Mary and Shoghagat Armenian Church, Swansea, IL.  Mrs. Leap was also a choir member of Holy Shoghagat Church and was in the Women’s Guild. "Bea" loved just about all sports and especially loved watching baseball, football, basketball, and golf with her husband Ron.  She was an excellent bowler and golfer in addition to being an excellent card player, enjoying the game of Bunco each week with her friends. And, of course, Bea was a dedicated and loyal Cardinals fan who rarely missed watching a game!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nishan and Makroohi, nee Kapoian, Norsigian; her two brothers, Hrant Norsigian, Sr. and Vaharam Norsigian, Sr.; her two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and three nephews. 

Surviving are her husband, Ronald F. Leap; her sister, Mary Vartanian; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Virgin Mary and Shoghagat Armenian Church.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the mortuary.

Funeral procession to leave Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Mass at Holy Virgin Mary and Shoghagat Armenian Church, Swansea, IL with Father Voskan Hovhannisyan officiating.  Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
