Asemena J. Tangaran

Asemena J. Tangaran, age 62, of Belleville, IL, born on November 13, 1956 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Asemena, was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She spent most of her time with her daughter and grandchildren, along with many other friends and family. Asemena also spent a good amount of her time outside, she loved to garden and sit out on her porch listening to music. If you couldn’t find her in the house, she was more than likely making herself busy in someway outside. Many know her as a very active, outgoing person, she was always on the go. Even though she is gone we will never forget her loving smile, good heart, and humorous attitude. We will remember how strong she was and how she always had the strength to keep fighting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josie, nee Vaughn, Tangaran; and her siblings, Tom Tangaran in infancy and Nick Tentzeras.

Asemena is survived by her daughter, Nancy Reulecke of Belleville, IL; her sons Joshua Frizzell of Granite City, IL and Jamie Frizzell of Missouri; her grandchildren, Mariah Reulecke, Kailey Reulecke, Dakota Hahn, Savannah Reulecke and Christian Reulecke; her brother, Tom Tangaran and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made to Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Belleville, IL.  

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Swansea, IL.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Swansea, IL with Fr. Achilles Karathanos officiating. Interment will be held in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
