Allen Romero Obituary

Allen Romero, age 61, of Caseyville, IL, formerly of Melbourne, FL, born on September 16, 1957 in Liberal, Kansas, died on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Allen was a US Navy veteran. He was a self-employed upholster for most of his life and could reupholster furniture, cars, or boats.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino and Eva, nee Mondragon, Romero; and his two brothers, Raymond and James Romero.

Surviving are his children, Allen Jr., Lisa Marie, Allen Matthew, Justin, Christina, Felisha and Brittany Romero; his grandchildren; and his siblings, Jerry (Lori) Romero of Caseyville, IL, Joyce (Javier) Arrendondo of Liberal, KS, Beverly Romero of Huguton, KS, George (Virginia) Gonzales of Liberal, KS, and Johnny Gonzales of Wichita, KS.

There will be no local services. A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Liberal, KS with internment of cremated remains to follow.
